When I started this website, I named it after a set of knitted elephant toys that I used to make. They were always blue elephants too, just because I liked that. But now that I’ve been making toys and patterns for awhile, I decided it was time to recreate the elephants that inspired this blog. And instead of the knit ones, I wanted to share a crochet elephant pattern. You can read more about why I started this blog over on the About Page.
The elephant is about 6.5 inches in length and you can make him an about an hour. He’s super straightforward, but he is pretty special. The full pattern is available for purchase in my Ravelry store and in the Shop here.
That’s right! I’ve opened up a shop where I will be selling some of my more interesting/elaborate/special patterns! Now, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be posting free patterns anymore, because I will always have free patterns available. All it means is that now you can buy some patterns that I normally wouldn’t just post about; that might be because they’re more advanced than the simple patterns I usually post, or because they’re something different and unique that I think is worth a little bit more. All the patterns will be formatted the same way as blog posts though, with simple, clear instructions and pictures to help you out.
It’s still a small shop right now, but I am so excited about this new endeavor and I hope you guys take a look and buy something! Also, feel free to share any ideas or input about what patterns to include in the shop. After all, you guys are the ones running the show here 🙂
