Baby Yoda has been stealing hearts all over the internet and even though I don’t watch the show, I’m in love with him. I originally just made one of these little guys for my sister to go along with the Darth Vader I made her a few years ago. I shared him on Instagram and a lot of people asked for the pattern so here it is! This is the Baby Yoda crochet pattern I’ve whipped up and it’s super quick and easy to make. Hope you enjoy it!

The best thing about this baby Yoda crochet pattern is that there aren’t too many pieces. I’ve seen some patterns that included little pieces for facial features and a separate coat. While I love how those look, I didn’t want to spend the time sewing all of those pieces together. So my baby Yoda crochet pattern only has the essential features and I think the simplified design adds to the cuteness!
Related: How to Prepare for a Craft Fair!
This is one of the items I’m making for my craft fair next month and so far, it’s been a quick process building up a stock of them. Amigurumi, in general, does take longer to make than most things people make for craft fairs, but I think it’s worth the time. Each Yoda here for example only uses about $0.75 in materials (since I can make several from the yarn) and people are willing to pay more for unique items. I’d love to know what you think about craft fairs, and what you like to sell, in the comments below.
The full free pattern is written out below. For those who’d prefer to print the pattern and take it with you for on-the-go and to markup as you go, you can buy the inexpensive printable PDF from my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The PDF is formatted without ads or comments, so it’s easy to read.

Assembly
Now that we’re done making the pieces of this baby Yoda crochet pattern, it’s time to assemble it all together! Start by using the long tail of the ears to sew them onto either side of the head and about eye level. They’ll stick straight out of the sides. Next, add a small amount of stuffing to the arms and use the tail yarn to sew them onto the body at around the 12th round from the base. Then sew on the other arm the same way.
Finally, use the long tail yarn from the head to sew the head to the body. First, bring your needle to where the head touches the body since it’s currently at the bottom. Then go through a space on the head and one of the back loops left unworked on the body. Continue around until the head is secure and then fasten off. Then weave in any loose ends and trim the excess yarn to finish.
And you’re all done!

Thank you for the baby Yoda pattern. My son-in-law loves all things Star Wars. I will make one for him for his birthday and also several for a couple of craft shows that I plan on doing this year. I will definitely credit you for the design and pattern. I make 18" doll clothes and then I sew or crochet little things for the dolls. ThIs baby Yoda will be a perfect companion for the dolls.
