Whether you love it or you hate it, candy corn is a nostalgic treat. It’s sweet and fun and colorful, and it’s just a Halloween staple. That’s why I’m kicking off my Sweet & Spooky Bundle event with the Candy Corn Kids! These three crochet plushie patterns make such a cute set that’s perfect for gifting or decorating!

For these Candy Corn Kids, I wanted to make a set of three with slightly different body types and give them personalities. So in this post, there are actually 3 patterns so you get a mix of shapes, just like a box of actual candy corn! I also added pieces of pipe cleaners to the arms and legs of these plushies so you can pose them too.
This pattern is a really quick and easy pattern and it doesn’t use much yarn at all. I recently made my Crispin Baby Blanket with Mighty Stitch yarn in a bunch of bright fall colors. I had a bit of yarn left over and I used white, orange, and yellow to make these candy corn plushies. I haven’t named these guys yet so if you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!
The full free pattern is written out below. For those who’d prefer to print the pattern and take it with you for on-the-go and to markup as you go, you can buy the inexpensive printable PDF from my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The PDF is formatted without ads or comments, so it’s easy to read.

Useful Amigurumi Tips
- All patterns are in English and written in standard USA terms
- inc – increase by working 2 stitches into the same space
- dec – decrease across 2 stitches using an invisible decrease
- Keep stitches tight to prevent holes for stuffing to show through. If there are holes, go down a hook size.
- All pieces are worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. Use stitch markers to mark the first stitch of each round.
- Safety eyes are used in these patterns, but feel free to stitch on eyes instead for children under 3 years old.

Assembly
For each candy corn kid, you just need to attach the arms and legs. Add the pipe cleaner to each piece if you haven’t already. Use the tail yarn on the arm and thread it through a tapestry needle. Align the arm to the center of the orange section of the body and sew it in place. Repeat with the other arm.
Sew the legs to the bottom of the body in the same way, but align them closer to the back half of the body. This just helps the plushie balance a little better and sit flat by resting on the legs under them. Weave in the ends and trim the excess yarn to finish.
Finish the kids off by embroidering a small smile on each and pose them!
And you’re done with the set!
I love how these Candy Corn Kids turned out and I’ve been having a great time placing them around my own home. It’s so cute and fun to see a little smiling candy corn propped up on random things, smiling and waving! I think the tall one is my favorite because he kind of reminds of me Big Edd from Ed, Edd and Eddy.
If you make them, tag me in your photos on Instagram! And don’t forget to check out all the other Halloween Plushies!
