Ready for another spooky Halloween plushie?? It’s been such a great time sharing all these plushie patterns this month, but we’re not done yet. Today’s pattern is all about Cedric the Skeleton, a dapper undead dude that you’re going to love! So let’s introduce him and get to the free crochet pattern below.

Cedric always loved dressing up and being at his most presentable at all times. That didn’t change after he died. Every night, Cedric takes his time to iron his clothes and polish his shoes to a shine. He gets dressed and makes his way down to the same club he’s always gone to. He might be a pile of bones now, but Cedric’s still got the moves and you will definitely find him on the dance floor, maybe even with a special lady on his arm.
If you’re keeping up with the Sweet and Spooky patterns I’ve been releasing lately, this is the seventh pattern in the collection! We’ve already made a bunch of adorable plushies. If you missed any, you can go ahead and click here to get their free patterns or grab all of the collection as a bundle of premium PDFs. You can read all about that down below!
The full free pattern is written out below. For those who’d prefer to print the pattern and take it with you for on-the-go and to markup as you go, you can buy the inexpensive printable PDF from my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The PDF is formatted without ads or comments, so it’s easy to read.

Useful Amigurumi Tips
- All patterns are in English and written in standard USA terms
- inc – increase by working 2 stitches into the same space
- dec – decrease across 2 stitches using an invisible decrease
- Keep stitches tight to prevent holes for stuffing to show through. If there are holes, go down a hook size.
- All pieces are worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. Use stitch markers to mark the first stitch of each round.
- Safety eyes are used in these patterns, but feel free to stitch on eyes instead for children under 3 years old.

Assembly
Now that we have all the parts of our free crochet pattern ready, we can start assembling Cedric! Add stuffing to just the ends of the arms and legs, and all of the body if you haven’t already. Then position the arms along the sides and use the tail yarn to sew them in place using a whip stitch. Use the tail yarn from the legs to attach the legs to the body as well.
Place the eyes on the head and pin them in place. Then thread a tapestry needle with the tail yarn and sew the eyes onto the head. Weave in the ends and trim the excess. Thread a tapestry needle with black yarn and embroider on a simple face. Bring the needle up from under the head and across the face. Then sew a few vertical stitches across the line for Cedric’s teeth. Embroider on two slanting lines for the nose like in the image below and secure the yarn. Weave in the ends and trim the excess yarn.
Next, use the tail from the body to attach the head, going through one space on the body to one space on the head. Use pins to hold it in place as you sew and go through each space around. This makes sure that the head doesn’t wobble around. Finally sew down the ends on the suspenders to the front of the body, bring the loop around to the back of the body and stitch it down in the center with some black thread to make the Y shape of the suspenders.
