Hello friends! Today’s pattern is one I have been looking forward to sharing for some time. Meet Damian the Devil, a roguish little fella that’s just itching for Halloween to come around! This plushie pattern was so much fun to create and it’s part of the Sweet and Spooky Halloween Plushie. I’ll tell you all about that in a minute, but for now, let’s get started!

It’s been a while since I got to sit down and design a new plushie pattern. For the last few months, I’ve been in craft fair mode – making tons of the same thing over and over again. And although that’s fun, there’s nothing quite like creating a new little friend! And Damian is a great friend, although sometimes it takes people a while to get to know him.
He’s a mischievous little guy that loves to play pranks and push the limits of what he can do, but at the end of the day, he doesn’t mean any harm. Damian sometimes has a hard time making friends, but when he meets true ones like Frankie and Viktor, he would go to hell and back for them. He makes sure no one messes with his friends and he stands up for what he believes in.
The full free pattern is written out below. For those who’d prefer to print the pattern and take it with you for on-the-go and to markup as you go, you can buy the inexpensive printable PDF from my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The PDF is formatted without ads or comments, so it’s easy to read.

Assembly
Now that we have all the pieces done, all that’s left of this plushie pattern is to sew Damian together! Add stuffing to all the pieces if you haven’t already. Start by using the long tail ends left on the legs to attach them onto the body. It helps to use pins to hold the legs in position while you sew. Then, align the arms on either side of the body and sew them in place as well. Sew the tail onto the body, sewing it a couple of stitches above so it holds the position.
Now, let’s work on the head. Add a small amount of stuffing to the horns and position them on the head, using pins to get them even. Use the tail ends of the horns to sew them in place. With black embroidery floss, stitch on the eyebrows and the mouth. You can also use white embroidery floss to stitch an “open” mouth by making his teeth.
Weave in all the ends. Finally, sew the body and head together, making sure it’s on straight! Sew two small buttons onto the vest and put it on the finished plushie pattern using the spaces between stitches as buttonholes.
And you’re all done!
