Have you guys ever just googled a picture of a lamb? There is nothing cuter or more Spring than a baby lamb, and I am obsessed with them lately. Although I might not be able to get a real baby lamb, I can crochet one, and that’s what I’ll be sharing with you guys today! This pattern for Lily the Lamb is a free crochet lamb pattern that I hope you love as much as I do.

Meet Lily the Lamb, our sweet and playful little friend! Lily is the youngest in our family of plushies and she’s always looking for adventure on the farm. She loves exploring the pasture and visiting all the other animals, especially when she can play pretend with Peter the Piglet. Lily is also super close to her big brother Sammy the Sheep and she feels so cool and special every time she gets to spend the day with him and the other big kids!
This is part of my Farm Buddies Collection along with a couple of other patterns. Over the course of the month, I’ll be releasing 6 patterns for free on the blog here. You can check back every time I post a new pattern, OR you can grab the bundle of all the patterns at once, as premium ad-free PDF files, plus a bonus pattern! The pattern bundle is on sale below for $27, which is 40% off what it would be to get each other patterns separately. Click the image or the button below to check it out!
The full free pattern is written out below. For those who’d prefer to print the pattern and take it with you for on-the-go and to markup as you go, you can buy the inexpensive printable PDF from my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The PDF is formatted without ads or comments, so it’s easy to read.

Bow:
Row 1: With any color yarn, create a slip knot and chain 6.
Rows 2-30: Chain 1, turn and SC along in each space. Trim the yarn, but be sure to leave a long tail. Thread the end of the yarn through a tapestry needle, fold the piece in half so the short ends meet, and sea together. Wrap the remaining yarn around the center of the pice to create a bow. Weave in the ends and trim the excess yarn.
Assembly:
Now that we have all the pieces done let’s start assembling this free crochet lamb pattern! First, add stuffing to the body, snout, and the ends of the hands and feet. Insert the head into the fur piece like a hoodie, and use the tail yarn and a tapestry needle to sew it in place.
Start adding the features to the head. Fold the ears in half and sew them to the sides of the head. Use the tail yarn on the snout to sew the snout onto the face. Next, use the tail yarn of the body and a tapestry needle to sew the head onto the body. Be sure to go through all the spaces of the body and a corresponding stitch in the head to make sure it doesn’t wobble.
Then, sew the legs onto either side of the body going through both sides of the leg and a space on the body. Repeat for the arms. Sew the tail to the back of the body. Then use some black embroidery floss to stitch on a simple Y for the snout and a couple of stitches by the eyes for eyelashes.
And you’re done! Just add her bow to finish her off and enjoy your new plushie. If you make this, be sure to share your photos with me on Instagram @_theblueelephants! Don’t forget to also check out the pattern for Sammy the Sheep!
